This depends on the vehicle type.

The Alphard is not equipped to accommodate passengers while they remain seated in a wheelchair. The wheelchair must be folded and stored in the vehicle, and passengers will need to transfer to a regular seat.

On the other hand, if you use a welfare vehicle equipped with a wheelchair lift (New HiAce, HiAce, or Caravan), you can board the vehicle while remaining seated in your wheelchair.
